IPMAT Exam Eligibility Criteria | Check Age limit & Qualification

Before going to know eligibility criteria, it is necessary to understand type of exam and it’s overview.

IPMAT or Integrated Program in Management Admission Test is the management entrance exam. It is the way to IIM’s IPM program, designed for students right after their 12th-grade examinations. IPMAT is an aptitude test conducted by IIMs, specifically IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak. IPMAT program is a combination of undergraduate and postgraduate studies, offering students a unique opportunity to develop managerial skills early in their academic journey.

IPMAT INDORE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

IPMAT aspirant must have to follow this criteria for IPMAT Indore 5 year integrated program.

Age Limit : Candidate should have been born on or after August 01, 2004 (5 years of relaxation to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given i.e. born on or after August 01, 1999)
Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023, or appearing in 2024
Minimum Percentage: Candidate should have passed standard X/ SSC with minimum 60% marks ( 55% for SC/ST/PwD category)

Note 1: Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of July 31, 2023 can also apply, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria as mentioned above. If student selected, such candidates will be offered admission to the programme provisionally. At the time of registration for the programme, such candidate must have to produce standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations mark sheets along with school leaving certificate/migration certificate, failing which the candidate’s provisional admission offer will stand cancelled.

Note 2: The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in X and XII Standard would be calculated based on the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet, irrespective of the Board’s regulation. In case the candidates are awarded letter grades or grade points instead of marks, the conversion of grades to the percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the Board/ Competent Authority.

IPMAT ROHTAK ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

IPMAT aspirant must have to follow this criteria for IPMAT Rohtak 5 year integrated program.

Minimum 60% in Standard X/ SSC and Standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations (55% for the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category).
Maximum 20 years of age as on July 31, 2024 for IPMAT 2024.
After meeting the minimum eligibility criteria, Reservation will be applicable as per GOI norms.

Confirm you are Eligible or Not: By Understanding the eligibility criteria, you can decide you are eligible or not. If you don’t meet the criteria, you should not waste your time.

Avoid disqualification: Failing to meet the eligibility criteria can result in disqualification from the exam. This means your application may be rejected, and you won’t be allowed to sit for the test. Knowing the criteria in advance allows you to rectify any issues or seek alternative options if necessary.

Advance Planning: You should make a plan according to your goal. By satisfying eligibility criteria, you can target your minimum marks for your IPMAT exam.

Another Options:- Those candidate or students who are not following eligibility criteria can choose another option. For example, if you are under age then you can target next year & if you are not following educational criteria, then you should go for another option for your future academic goal.
