WHAT IS THE LAW ENTRANCE EXAM?
The law entrance exam is the gateway for candidates looking forward to getting admission in the 5-year LLB program in 2023 once they pass their 12th class. Even graduate-level students can attempt the law entrance exam to get into a 3-year LLB program and thereafter in the LLM program.
TYPES OF LAW EXAMS
In India, three kinds of law entrance exams prevail. These exams are classified into:
National-Level Law Exam – CLAT, AILET, LSAT, and AIBE
National-level law entrance exams in India help students secure admission to law colleges in India, such as IIT, NLUD, NLUs, and many more.
State-level Law Entrance Exam– MH CET Law, AP Law Set, TS Law Set, etc.
Usually, state-level law entrance exams are conducted under the approval of respective states.
Institute-level Law exams – CUET LLB, JMI BA LLB, and DU LLB

CLAT (COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST)
One of the most common Law exams in India is the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). More than 60,000 students attempt the CLAT exam each year. This national-level exam offers candidates an opportunity to get admission in UG or PG programs to one of the 23 National Law Universities (NLU) and in a few private and self-financed law schools. SLAT (SYMBIOSIS LAW ADMISSION TEST)
Students planning to get admission to Symbiosis Law School Pune, Hyderabad, Noida, and Nagpur after the 12th class can attempt Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) exam. The SLAT entrance exam is conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU) offering 1000 seats altogether for admission in BA LLB and BBA LLB programs.

CUET (CENTRAL UNIVERSITIES ENTRANCE TEST)
CUET LLB entrance exam is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) every year. The candidates need to fill in an online application form available on the official website https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/. Applicants who have completed their graduation in any stream or are in the last year of graduation can apply for the CUET LLB exam.
Candidates willing to get admission to the 3-year LLB program must appear for CUET exam. The CUET LLB 2023 scores will be accepted by central universities for admission.

LSAT (LAW SCHOOL ADMISSION TEST)
LSAT- India (Law School Admission Test) is a national-level law entrance exam conducted by LSAC India every year. Once the candidate qualifies for the LSAT exam, he or she may get admission in programs like BA LLB, BBA LLB, B.Com LLB, LLM, and various other programs in many prestigious colleges such as Azim Premji University, Amity Manesar, OP Jindal Global University, The ICFAI Law School, etc.
The LSAT exam is divided into four sections such as reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, and two sections of logical reasoning. There is no negative marking for an incorrect answer whereas one mark is awarded for the right one. The LSAT exam fee is mentioned on the official website along with the other exam details.

Currently, four colleges accept CUET LLB scores.
Yes, CUET LLB 2023 form can be edited. The correction window opens from 20th April to 23rd April. 2023.
The candidate must have cleared 12th or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks for General/ PwD/ OBC/OCI/NRI/PIO and 40% in case of SC/ST category. Moreover, there is no age limit to attempt the CLAT exam.
Be it CLAT UG or PG exam, as long as the candidate attains the eligibility criteria for the CLAT exam, he or she can appear for the CLAT exam many times.
The candidates who have cleared the 12th exam (in any stream) with a minimum of 50% in total from a reputed board are eligible for AILET 2024.
AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) is for students looking forward to getting admission to NLU whereas CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) opens doors to multiple law colleges.
Each participating college of SLAT 2023 has its separate cut-offs for the candidates. Considering the previous year’s cut-offs, 9-10 per section can be considered a good score.
